I'm blown away by latest venture, I have always been interested in google adwords, however I have also been acutely aware of how marketing with pay per click can blow up in your face when you lack the experience to carry it off.

With this in mind I sat down and started to search using the keyword 'affiliate marketing' and was staggered how many searche result, using the exact match bracketed search google returned over 8 million results. Adding 'adwords'to the string dropped the results to some 22,000, however still ahuge amount of competition.

Anyway to cut a long story short I ended up on a review site called Suggest A Niche which was reviewing adwords tools and was blown away by a review on The Wealthy Affiliate University

Needless to say I did sign up for this site and I am now implementing my campaigns with a bit more confidence and I will post the results soon.

I would like to tell you how an inexpensive book called Beating Adwords saved me from giving up my dream. I have been marketing online now for around 11 months and have gone from knowing absolutely nothing about internet marketing to a realization that good things can happen if you persevere. I have bounced around from one great idea to the next, as have many like minded people in the search for the elusive online income.

After making a small amount of income inconsistently I decided to make a go of adwords, this was a silly idea as I didn't realize that google adwords is a monster just waiting to gobble your cash. I built my campaign, bid for the adwords and sat back for a week. I was doing ok and thought I had cracked the code then, bam! out of the blue my bid for one word went from .53c to $7 per click, I later discovered that I had been hit by the now famous 'google slap'.

I was extremely disheartend and was about to throw in he towel; thats when I discovered Beating Adwords from the Wealthy Affiliate University and thats when my life changed. I read this book from cover to cover and can now bid for words with confidence. I am also making steady money 'over $700 this month'. Now I know hats not a fortune, however thats after paying for my words so is clear profit

I'm now looking at the Wealthy Affiliate University site for further progression into my internet marketing carreer and expect things to happen at a more rapid pace now.

It is unbeleivable that one small article I read about online guitar tuition could make such an earth shattering difference to my life. To cut a long story short My daugter has always regarded her self as a bit of a guitar musician, however the truth is she has never ever taken notice from any guitar teacher and simply bashe away on it creating noise. Used Mini Cooper S - My New Car

I have been looking for a new car for ages now, however I had long list of rules which I had to abide by before I could allow myself to buy.

1/ The car had to be resonably priced

2/ It had to be energy efficient

3/ It had to be fast

4/ It had to have at least 4 seats

5/ It had to look cool

I looked at quite a few cars and in the finish narrowed down to two.

The first was the Smart Car, it has funky styling and will seat 4, however I have read some less than favourable reviews about rear seat passenger comfort. It will easily acheive 500+ miles on a full tank, and is extremely easy to park. The only thing I really worried about is the acceleration or lack of it.

My second choice and the car I eventually bought is the Mini Cooper S. I think in the back of my mind I have always wanted one, so really the choice was not difficult. In my defence I would say that after driving one that the drive is amazing, and it feels extremely solid and safe on the road, even at speed. the interior oozes quality and the stereo system is the best I have heard in a small car.

The clincher was that the used mini cooper s tlc servicing voucher was also transfered to me with the car

All in all I feel that I have acheived my goals and ended up with a great car

In the old days a hunter would have to track their quarry and outwit the animal before finally pulling the trigger. Now with new night vision scopes it is easy to track and kill an animal before they even realize the hunter is even in the vicinity.

Is this fair ? maybe not, however, what the scope will do is make the kill more efficient, and depending on the skill of the hunter it should make the animal more likely to die with a reduced chance of wounding.

It seems that in the UK the car is beginning to give way to the moped and scooter. As the pressure of parking spaces and the taxes being introduced daily on emissions the savvy motorist is turning to the once humble moped for an answer.

One scooter rider when questioned said " I live about 18 miles from the center of Manchester and it was taking me 1 hour and 20 mins to get into work, I can now do it in under 15 mins".

Christmas Is Coming - Get Stuffing

Well it is get dangerously close to Christmas. Have you got your recipe for Sage and onion stuffing if not here's a great one.

Ingredients:
1 small onion
100g white breadcrumbs
1/2 level teaspoon of sage
large pinch of salt
pinch pepper
25g melted butter.

Method:

1/ Cut the onions into quarters, then cook in boiling water until tender (don't forget to add salt)

2/ Drain and finely chop

3/ Mix with breadcrumbs and add sage salt and pepper

4 Bind loosely with melted butter and milk.

Stuff it into the turkey or alternatively if you want to serve it on the side pop it into the oven on a medium heat until brown on the top.

Winter brings those cold floors

I have been looking at buying and antique rug for my living room floor, I have an oak floor at the moment which is fantastic to look at, however when you kick off your shoes with a nice glass of wine in front of the tv it is cold on the feet.

In the summer it is great to have bare floor boards but when it starts to get a bit colder it is uncomfortable. Rather than cover it with carpet I thought that a nice antique or oriental rug would be nice.

I have been looking at range cookers lately and in particular Aga's. Tha Aga cooker is British and has been around for ever.The great thing about an Aga is you don't have to keep turning it on and off every time you want to cook as it is so well insulated it is possible to leave it on permanently. The heat which radiates from it is enough to heat that immediate area even if it is a large space; it is also possible for the Aga cooker to heat your hot water supply.

The ovens, of which you have a choice of two or four depending on the model are constantly warm. Each oven has a different temperature so you can roast in one, bake in another and just warm food in another.

The Aga cooker comes in a range of colours and although it is expensive holds it's value as here is a huge resale market for the them. So all in all I would highly recommend the Aga cooker.

The Rain in Spain - It makes you sick

We have had so much rain here over the last week I feel like I'm beginning to grow webs between my toes. It started a week ago today with downpours, then on Friday night we had what is known as a Gotta Fria it's a depression which translated means Cold Drop. I have never experienced Thunder storms like this in my life, real scary stuff. The roads were flooded and the drains were overflowing.

The swimming pool level rose eight inches in 6 hours. Reading about it the day after it said that there were 416 liters of water per sq meter. Today seems a little better so I might venture out to my Spanish lesson

Not Much Better To Do When It Rains

They say that the rain only falls on the plain in Spain, let me tell you they are telling porkies. I live on the edge of a mountain on the east coast of Spain and we have had the most horrendous thunder storms over the last week with hail stones the size of your fist.

I stayed in and was very constructive I even managed to build another site. This one was an after thought, I built www.mopeds-scooter-bike.co.uk for the UK motorcycle market and was very pleased with it, then I thought, hold on a minute America is huge, so why not give it the benefit of my creative juices ( strictly tounge in cheek) and so I have made a mirror image and titled it www.mopeds-scooter-bike.com, how original is that.

Any way today has been an amazing day the sun was blazing down so I will be back out on my bike.

Well I am starting to feel happier with my moped and scooter website now as I have just added a blog to it. Obviously I want to sell from my main moped and scooter website but I have now added a blog which will concentrate in information and items which I feel are of interest.

The latest post is with regards to youngsters just starting out and wishing to purchase a moped or scooter and deals with what they should be looking for in terms of safety and insurance. I hope to build this blog over a period of time so it can be a reference point for clubs and individual moped and scooter riders

I'm starting to feel like I getting somewhere now, I only started building sites 6 months ago and probably have built about six. This has definitely been the best to date as I had a clear plan in my head; I knew that there was a large audience, I concentrated on the UK and took my time to prepare before building.

I was staggered as I checked to see if it had been indexed to find it listed on page two of google, especially when I have had sites which were built months ago, which I felt to be excellent sites not even being indexed.

Anyway obviously I'm delighted.

My Latest Project

I started my latest website project today, one of my passions is motorbiking and coming from Northumberland in England the roads are just made for it. We have the Roman built military road with it's unsighted humps. The road is as straight as an arrow, however when you approach the humps at speed you risk your life every time.

The best roads follow the coastline up from Blyth to Amble and on through Sea Houses Bamburgh and back through Rothbury and Morpeth.

Anyway I'm digressing; I intend to use this motorcycle store as a springboard for articles and bike reviews. There is so much exciting stuff happening with new bikes launched quicker than you can test them. I also intend to research motorcycle clubs and post them on my website.

One of those Days when you should have stayed in Bed

Yesterday was most certainly one of those days. I got up as usual around 8am and immediately started to write articles for my websites. When my other half got out of bed she said that she felt unwell, that means that although the sun is high in the sky we would not be going out. Never mind I will just work a bit harder and get some free time later; not to be, my 15 year old daughter Holly came rushing into the room clutching an oval piece of gold metal.

It turned out that her beloved Zak Wylde signature Les Paul guitar had fallen over in her bedroom and one of the machine heads had sheared off. I now need to send or one from Germany, it also means she can't have any lessons as it wont tune up without it; to say she was upset was an understatement.

So this morning I'm hoping for a better day as the sun is shining, Holly is on the school bus and we have the full day ahead of us.

Getting our Spanish Residencia

We have been here over a year now and have been putting off the daunting task of officially becoming a Spanish resident. Well yesterday was the day, to comply with the rest of Europe, Spain have had to modify their out dated rules and have streamlined the way it is done.

In the past you had to go to Alicante and queue outside the major police station, then fill in forms and go through what can only be described as an intimidating interview. So we avoided all of this as under the new rules, we simply went to our local police station and filled oout the correct forms and then to the bank to pay a fee and then return to collect our certificates.

So we can now call ourselves Spanish residents, and better than that, it means that we are complying with the law and don't have to worry about being stopped by the Guardia Civil to see our papers.

Back to Blighty

Well, I have just booked tickets back to the UK for November. My 14 year old daughter begged me to let her go to Newcastle to see My Chemical Romance, so as a birthday present we are all heading home for 4 days. It will be a good opportunity to see my Mum and Brother.

Speaking of which, his son, who is obviously my nephew, has just been signed by Newcastle United FC to play for their academy side, He is an exceptional talent.

It is very hot here today so I'm off to have a dip in the pool!

My New Life in Javea

After 30 years working for a living, 21 of those in business on my own I have decided to relax, We moved from our home in Hexham - Northumberland in the UK to Sunny Javea on the west coast of Spain. We took a lease on a rented house for a year but managed to find a house last Christmas and moved early.

This is such a contrast to England as the pace of life is so relaxed, the local people seem to embrace family values so much more than back home. The weather obviously helps as outside living takes you away from the tv and allows the art of conversation to creep back in.

Yesterday was a Fiesta in Javea; as a result everything closes up shop and there are bands and processions through the town, culminating with fireworks.
